Blessings my friend!

My name is Deacon Tom - I'm a Catholic Deacon in AZ. I've just finished a three year assignment in the beauty of Colorado. For family and personal reasons, my wife and I just relocated to live in northern Arizona. Have you come to visit this website by the same 'Mercy' that allowed me to b ecome a deacon? I thought so... please join me for some words about practicing and living the Catholic Faith.

 New!  New!  New!

Now you can listen to Deacon Tom on the new Catholic Deacon Moments on a new Internet program. Listen right on your computer -- or download programs to your IPOD or MP3 portable players. We invite you to join host LISA HENDEY on her Catholic Moments Podcast program. She discusses family life, books, music, movies and other matters -- all from a Catholic perspective. Simply click on this link to go to www.catholicmoments.com. Let us know what you think. Blessings.

Whether you have ‘stumbled’ onto this site by that same Divine Mercy – or if you were purposely looking – welcome. And as I most often say to folks: “Blessings.”

You may know there are hundreds and hundreds of wonderful websites devoted to our Catholic faith, and to learning more about it. There are sites devoted to understanding Catholic practices… sites devoted to Catholic prayer and devotions. There are sites started by wonderful and technology-oriented priests, pastors and nuns. There are sites sponsored by lay organizations and people committed to on-line discipleship. I’ve looked at dozens – perhaps hundreds of sites. I love many of them. Please look at my links section and you can choose from some of those that I routinely use or receive Internet emails or newsletters from.

So why did I decide to add yet another web site? People have told me that I’m an experiential preacher and teacher – one that uses life and personal situations… personal observations to help us look at our faith and ways to apply it or re-energize it in our lives. So, God willing, my goal is to have this site as a slightly different on-line resource that people can look to… to look at and find (real-world) new or renewed faith. All contained in a set of homilies, conversion stories and ‘reflections’ oriented to life as I have seen it or found it. One other brief point – I often borrow portions of thoughts, text or narrative from other folks – so how about if I say I’m only half an ‘original?’ God is the only Original thought.

Welcome. Bless you. In fact – many blessings. I hope to hear from you.

Deacon Tom

PS: All my words for the Word! (This is borrowed from the tomb marker of a wonderful priest. I’ll tell you more about him if you are interested.)
